   The first annual Art in the Park 5K/Fun Run was a huge success. We want to thank all the race entrants along with family and friends who participated in this event. Special thanks goes out to Senator Wendy Davis and her race team. Senator Davis won Overall Female Masters Winner.

Kennedale Town Center is located at Municipal Drive and Business 287 next to City Hall.
The Course
The 5K Race is an out and back course, that starts south on North Bowman Springs Road, turns west on West 3rd Street, then turns south onto North Main Street, then east along West 4th Street, turn south onto Kenney Street, and turn west on West Broadway Street, and merge right onto North Road. The course continues on North Road until turn around point, and returns to North Bowman Springs Road along same route.
The Fun Run is an out and back course that starts with the 5K but turns around at Kenney Street and West 5th street.

Parking
Parking is available across Kennedale Town Center in Surplus Hardward parking lot. Early arrival at the race site is encouraged to avoid congestion.
Registration & Packet Pickup
3 pm - 8 pm Friday, April 8th at Kennedale Town Center Race Booth. Packets will be available at this time for those entrants who registered online.
Online race registration ends 11:59 pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. This allows time for race bibs to be labeled with each early registrants’ information and available by packet pickup Friday by 3 PM.
Race Day Registration will close twenty minutes before the race. Payment for Race Day registration will be cash only.
NOTE : IPICO Chip Timing will be used for scoring the 5K race. 5K entrants ONLY must pick up a timing chip race day morning to be included in the results.
The fun run will not be timed.
T-Shirts
Entrants who register or pick up packets before race day, will be guaranteed a 100% cotton t-shirt.
Race day registrants will receive shirts as long as they last, then may enter at a discount fee. Pre-registered entrants are guaranteed shirts only until ten minutes before race starting time. Shirts will not be mailed or saved if you do not pick up your packet on time.
Awards 5K
Plaques will be awarded to 1st overall male & female, 1st masters male & female
Age group is based on your age as of race day.
Medals will be give to top 3 in age groups: 12 & under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,
40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over
Awards Fun Run
Participants will receive a finishers ribbon.
Awards ceremony will be held after race ending time at Kennedale Town Center park.
You must be at awards ceremony to receive your award. Awards will not be mailed or presented after race day.
Refreshments
Refreshements served to participants after the event include drinks and a variety of fresh fruits.
Results
Winner results will be faxed to Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star Telegram and Kennedale News
